Emma is a Senior Associate in the Corporate and Commercial team at Hicksons.
Emma's key areas of focus include:
Procurement and General Commercial Law
- Advice on procurement and contract negotiation strategy, preparation of tender documentation;
- Trading terms and conditions; and
- Distribution agreements.
Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
- Software licensing and support agreements;
- Software as a service and cloud agreements;
- Telecommunication and data services agreements;
- Managed services and outsourcing agreements; and
- Website, software, and mobile application development agreements and website terms of use
- Privacy Impact Assessments
During her time at Hicksons, Emma has advised clients from both public and private sectors on information and communication technology transactions. Some clients include the Department of Education, Transport for NSW, Mission Australia and NSW Rural Fire Service.
Prior to joining Hicksons, she worked at FUJIFILM as a legal counsel and had extensive experience in negotiating ICT contracts with state and federal government agencies and multinational companies such as Amex, Citibank, Westpac, Alinta Energy and Optus.
Emma holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Psychology from the Australian National University and was admitted to practice in NSW in September 2016.
