Solicitor, Corporate Commercial - Sydney 

An opportunity to grow our Corporate Commercial team has arisen and we are seeking to appoint suitably qualified lawyers with 10+ years PQE. You will work within a highly collaborative team and will be exposed to a range of general commercial and corporate work including IT, procurement and privacy.  You will be expected to draft well (not using precedents) and be able to assist Partners and Senior Lawyers in negotiating and structuring deals.

The ideal candidate would have the following experience:

  • Drafting IT agreements (such as licensing, hardware acquisition, outsourcing)  for corporate and government clients
  • Negotiating IT agreements with suppliers and those procuring services
  • A high level of mathematical skills to be able to help structure complex deals
  • Advising on procurement processes for corporate and government clients
  • Plain English drafting

Solicitor, General Insurance (3 month contract) - Sydney 

We are seeking a Lawyer with 2-3 years’ PQE for a three month contract in the General Insurance practice group. In this role you will be exposed to a range of litigated claims with particular focus on personal injury and CTP.
 
The ideal candidate will have a sound academic record together with the following experience:
  • A strong commercial litigation background
  • Ability to provide clear advice on legal rights and obligations of parties in a diverse range of complex factual scenarios
  • Demonstrated experience in a general insurance desirable
  • Experience in attending Court and in particular the Federal Court of Australia
  • Enthusiastic professional looking to progress their career

Associate, Building and Construction - Sydney 

We are seeking to appoint a Building and Construction Associate, with minimum 3-4 years’ PQE experience. 
 
This role provides an exciting opportunity for an established professional to join a newly formed team. You will be involved from an early stage and will work closely with the Partners to develop the practice.  There is a genuine opportunity for career progression as the practice grows.
 
The ideal candidate will have a sound academic record together with the following experience:

  • A strong building and construction law background ideally front-end experience from a mid-tier or top-tier firm
  • Ability to draft and negotiate construction contracts and ancillary agreements i.e. development agreements, consultancy agreements, licence agreements
  • Experience in advising various stakeholders involved in a development project including government, developers, contractors and financiers
  • Resolution of security of payment claims and building disputes, preferred but not essential
  • Practical hands-on experience working directly with clients
  • Enthusiastic professional looking to progress their career
