Workers Insurance Paralegal - Newcastle 

Reporting to the Partners, we are looking for a part-time paralegal to work with our Newcastle workers compensation team two days a week (Monday and Tuesday). 

Working alongside a great team, your duties will include:

  • Accepting initial client instructions through Legal Panel Gateway (LPG)
  • Managing and maintaining LPG files, ensuring file location and labelling are accurate
  • Contacting clients, advising who has carriage of the matter, confirming Case Manager and requesting documents
  • Communicating with solicitors and secretaries to inform them that a new file has been opened; diarising and sending calendar invites advising due dates
  • Saving documents from LPG into FileSite
  • Performing conflict checks
  • Updating Affinity Phonebook and creating new entries
  • Additional administrative duties and data entry as required

Accounts Receivable Officer - Canberra

Reporting to the Finance Manager you will take ownership of the firm’s debtor's ledger. Your core role will be to build relationships with clients (internally and externally) with a view to collecting outstanding debt and maintaining a low days outstanding.

Working alongside a great team, your duties will include:

  • Experience in an autonomous credit/AR position
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Attention to detail
  • The ability to multitask and multi-skill
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • A strong work ethic and team orientated approach
  • Experience in a legal or accounting firm is highly desirable

Secretary - Workers Compensation / General Insurance - Canberra

We are looking for a Legal Secretary to work with our Canberra office. You will be supporting a Partner and a Senior Associate, working in Workers Compensation and General Insurance.

Working alongside a great team, your duties will include:  

  • Word processing / typing and collating correspondence and other
  • Prepares files, directions, subpoenas and other legal or court documents as instructed by allocated fee earners
  • Organise and maintain files for all legal documents and office records
  • Preparation of briefs involving typing observations, preparation of index, collating and tabulating the relevant documents
  • Diary management and maintenance of multiple calendars
  • Maintenance of Affinity diary and data ensuring correct information
  • Liaison with clients and other parties
  • Amendment and creation of precedents when required including letters and court documents
  • Maintaining and monitoring LPG timeframes and data
