Lawyer, Corporate & Commercial

An opportunity to grow our Corporate Commercial team has arisen and we are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified lawyer with 3+ years PQE. You will work within a highly collaborative team and will be exposed to a range of general commercial and corporate work including IT, procurement and privacy.  You will be expected to draft well (not using precedents) and be able to assist Partners and Senior Lawyers in negotiating and structuring deals.
 
The ideal candidate would have the following experience:

  • Drafting IT agreements (such as licensing, hardware acquisition, outsourcing)  for corporate and government clients
  • Negotiating IT agreements with suppliers and those procuring services
  • A high level of mathematical skills to be able to help structure complex deals
  • Advising on procurement processes for corporate and government clients
  • Plain English drafting

It is important to us that our lawyers are able to focus on client’s needs, have strong verbal and written communication skills, be self-motivated and have well developed analytical and commercial skills.

Legal Secretary, Medical Negligence

12 Month Maternity Leave Contract

We are looking for an experienced Secretary with a strong litigation and insurance background to join our Medical Negligence practice group on a 12-month Maternity Leave contract.

Reporting to the practice group leader, you will be responsible for supporting a Partner, Senior Associate and two Solicitors. Additional responsibilities may include:
  • Generation of correspondence, legal documents and preparation of briefs for counsel
  • Complex diary management, including monitoring court dates and client timeframes
  • Maintenance of matter files
  • Monthly billing
  • Word processing and formatting of dictations
  • Additional support service as required

This is a great opportunity for a self-starter to work in a team environment with exposure to a range of matters.  The successful candidate will be keen to learn more about insurance and medical negligence and further develop their secretarial skills.   You will have excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills, and the ability to demonstrate initiative and willingness to assist where required.

Float Secretary, Human Resources

We are looking for an experienced Secretary with a strong litigation background to join our secretarial support team as a Float Secretary.

Reporting to the HR Manager, you will be responsible for covering secretarial absences and supporting the firm in all administrative needs. Additional responsibilities may include:
  • Generation of correspondence, legal documents and preparation of briefs for counsel
  • Complex diary management, including monitoring court dates and client timeframes
  • Maintenance of matter files
  • Monthly billing
  • Word processing and formatting of dictations
  • Additional support service as required
