2018 Premier's Teacher Scholarship for Health and Wellbeing has been awarded to Darren Lang

On behalf of Hicksons we would like to congratulate Darren Lang, a teacher who is the head dean of PDHPE and Sport at a Sydney High School, who last year was awarded the 2019 Premier’s Teacher Scholarship for Health and Wellbeing - a scholarship that Hicksons proudly sponsors.

Darren is currently undertaking a “Health Education and Wellbeing Teacher Scholarship Study Tour” for 5 weeks around the USA, Canada and the UK observing international research and strategies to address childhood obesity.

He has taken the initiative to create and update a personal blog of his travels, as well as the health and educational strategies he has learnt along the way. To read his story, view his blog here.
