Olga is a Special Counsel in the Health and Government Team at Hicksons with extensive experience in health law, medical malpractice, insurance law and institutional abuse claims.
Olga specialises in medical negligence claims representing hospitals and visiting medical officers in relation to obstetrics, surgical errors, emergency medicine and mental health and catastrophic claims including paraplegia. She has a special interest and extensive experience in the area of Coronial inquests. Olga manages a portfolio of institutional abuse claims on behalf of a government agency and assists clients to navigate the sensitivities related to that work.
Since her admission, Olga has predominantly worked in defendant insurance litigation including medical negligence claims, public liability claims, CTP claims, intentional torts and public liability.
Olga’s focus is on providing high quality advice with practical and effective resolution of matters Olga has an understanding of the commercial aspects of claims management and litigation and works with her clients to achieve the best possible outcomes in both civil claims and Coronial inquests.
Olga holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Sydney as well as a Diploma in Freelance Journalism.
