Kezia is a Special Counsel within Hicksons General Insurance team. Kezia practices in dispute resolution, commercial litigation and insurance.
With 13 years’ experience acting for some of the largest insurers and financial institutions in the Australian and London markets, Kezia’s insurance practice includes advising on claims and policy coverage in property damage including allegations of fraud, public liability, business/retail insurance, professional negligence, life and total and permanent disablement, and claims against self-funded trustees. Kezia has also advised insurers on coverage and recovery issues arising from natural disaster claims. Kezia’s practice additionally, spans the range of commercial disputes, including contractual disputes, equity, trusts, employment and consumer law.
Kezia is admitted to practice in NSW and the High Court of Australia and has acted in advisory and contested matters in state (including NSW, VIC, QLD, ACT and WA) and federal Courts, tribunals and other dispute resolution forums including FOS (now AFCA), NCAT, Fair Work Australia, Medical Council, HCCC, Dental Board and Victims Services.
A member of the Litigation Law and Practice, Alternative Dispute Resolution Committees (Law Society of NSW), Kezia is an active contributor to the furtherment of the legal profession and the practice of law.
