Serena is a Senior Associate in the Workers Insurance team at Hicksons, advising on a broad range of statutory, work injury damages and recoveries claims.
Serena is committed to delivering strategic, thoughtful and practical advice in workplace injury matters including psychiatric injuries, claims for permanent impairment, compensation claims in the coal mining industry and litigated claims in the Personal Injury Commission, and is able to negotiate favourable outcomes for both client insurers and employers.
She also has experience in advising on the liability in third parties such as the host employer or stranger in Section 151Z recovery claims.
Serena is an active mentor in the Law Firms Encouraging & Assisting Promising Students (LEAPS) Program for Year 9 students at Canterbury Girls High School (2018, 2019)
With degrees in a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Business, Serena was admitted to practice in NSW in 2017.
