Robert has worked with both government and private sector clients for more than 29 years with a principal focus on land development.
He can provide legal services on issues such as land acquisition, project implementation and structuring, general planning law, development levies, land valuation and compulsory acquisition, contaminated land issues, biodiversity conservation, pollution, Indigenous and European heritage and environmental protection licensing.
He has negotiated and drafted voluntary planning agreements for large residential and industrial subdivisions across NSW for private clients and the NSW Minister for Planning and has managed the divestment of contaminated properties Australia-wide for international corporate groups.
Robert also contributes to the breadth of Hicksons expertise with his skills in negotiating provisions in put and call options, indemnities, guarantees, services contracts, property sales and leases and infrastructure, physical works, distribution and project delivery agreements.
Robert has also conducted litigation in the High, Federal, Supreme courts and Courts of Appeal and Criminal Appeal, the Land and Environment Court, the Dust Diseases Tribunal, the Industrial Court and the Consumer, Trader and Tenancy Tribunal.
Robert holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Environmental Laws and is admitted to practice in NSW.
