After being a partner with Hicksons for 30 years, Alan retired in 2004 but continues to be an important part of the firm as a consultant.
His current focus is on land and property development, including contract negotiation, as well as advising small business owners on corporate structures and operational planning issues.
In his wider practice, Alan continues to work across the spectrum of corporate and commercial matters, as well as advising high-net-worth individuals on succession and estate planning, trust establishment and taxation issues.
In the areas of land and property development, Alan’s expertise includes advising on financing arrangements and partnership and joint venture agreements, on subdivision and development processes and on contracts for construction and development works, negotiating purchases and sales of commercial, residential, rural and industrial properties and conducting Land and Environment Court applications for significant property projects.
With a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws, Alan is admitted to practise in NSW.
