Annabelle Daniel, CEO of Women’s Community Shelters, interviewed by Fran Kelly on Radio National

For those of you who may have missed yesterday morning’s broadcast, Annabelle Daniel, CEO of our client Women’s Community Shelters was interviewed by Fran Kelly on Radio National. In discussing the interview, Annabelle said:

“There’s been a lot of talk over the last year about domestic violence, homelessness and the scope of the issue for front-line services. What’s becoming increasingly clear is that more action is needed as increasing awareness creates a greater demand for services on the ground. More than 212 women are turned away from support services every day due to a chronic lack of crisis beds and assistance. Women’s Community Shelters is addressing this gap by starting new shelters in partnership with communities. They are just about to open their fourth shelter, in Sydney’s Castle Hill, and there’s already a waiting list.”
