The partners of Hicksons are pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Roberts as a Consultant to the firm’s Property and Finance practice group.

This important appointment allows Hicksons to meet increasing demand from established and emerging clients for high level property advice.”

Mike has more than 20 years experience in property and related areas of law, during which he has advised clients on a wide range of commercial, industrial, retail and residential developments.

As modern developments are often mixed in nature, experience and understanding in all areas is vital. In many cases, Mike has been involved from inception, meaning he has developed a comprehensive understanding of what clients need to successfully complete a development project.

Apart from knowledge of property law, modern developments demand consideration of factors such as project structuring, joint ventures, contractual terms and options, finance, property configuration, usage, DA / BA and strata title requirements, pre-sale capacity and leasing, as well as the transactional experience and negotiation skills to secure the required arrangements and agreements.

Mike’s approach is to apply his breadth of experience and skill in these areas and work closely with principals and other advisers to achieve the desired outcome as efficiently and cost effectively as possible.

Mike holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws from Macquarie University. He has been admitted to practice in New South Wales since 1984.
