"With the number of professional women in the Australian workforce skyrocking to never before seen levels, a collective of local business women is creating a new generation of networking business opportunities for female professionals."

Involved in this group are three solicitors from Hicksons Newcastle office - Gillian Lawrence, Jennifer Parkes and Phillipa Richards. As committee members, they have been instrumental in the establishment and ongoing success of the Hunter-based networking group: genXwomen. The aim of the group is to provide opportunities for networking and establishing business relationships for business women in the early stages of their careers.
 
The group were privileged to be approached by the Newcastle Herald to be featured in a special "Women: Agents of Change" lift out to commemorate Commonwealth Day 2011 (March 2011).
